Expiry Date on Invoice

13 years 10 months ago #153106 by ramtinworld
Expiry Date on Invoice was created by ramtinworld
Hi,

I need to add the expiry date of the subscription to the footer of my invoices.

When I go to Settings > Display > Invoices and under "Custom footer image" the tag [EXPIRY_DATE] doesn't do anything.

I have added other tags (.e.g. [address_first_name] ) as per the recommendations on the tab and they are all ok except the expiry date.

Can you please let me know if I am missing anything?

I am attaching a screenshot of the fields that I have there too.

I really appreciate your help.

Cheers,

Ramtin

There is no [EXPIRY_DATE] substitution. The substitutions available are those shown at the bottom next to the parameter Substitutions in all fields of invoice:.

Hi,

Thanks for your prompt reply.

Can you please give me some directions on how to add the expiry date to the footer of my invoices?

I have searched the forum and somewhere here you are saying that it is possible, but I cannot figure out what you mean:
www.joomlapolis.com/forum/88-usage/127375-how-do-you-display-the-actual-expiry-date-of#127380

I appreciate if you shed some light here on this.

Thanks,
Ramtin

by the way, just to clarify, I am after having the date in the footer as I designed a membership card there and need to display the expiry date there.

Thanks,

Officially you can't.

I have searched the forum and somewhere here you are saying that it is possible, but I cannot figure out what you mean:

I stated having the expiration date in the payment text which is displayed as the item being purchased.

You could use CB Queries incubator project which allows turning the results of a database query into a field then substitute that field at the bottom of your invoice with [cb_myfield] usages. You'd have to query the subscriptions database and pull the expiration date, but then there's no way to really know what plan to pull from the database (my best suggestion would be to get the latest by subscription date, but then older plans won't display the right duration!). It more or less can't be done easily by any means; we've plans to expand CBSubs substitutions further in later releases however.
