Hello,
Is it possible to add an image link (eg a "BuyNow" graphic ) in a profile that links to a virtuemart product page. This seems like a simple thing but I having difficulty implementing it.

Certainly, this can be done quite easily with HTML and a delimiter field. In addition to this would also support substitutions (e.g. [username]). Delimiter fields can be added from backend via Field Management. Example as follows.

<a href="http://www.example.com/my-products"><img src="http://www.example.com/images/logo.png" alt="Logo" /></a>

The above is purely for example purposes and would of course need editing.

Excellent! It works. Now I need to sync CB 1.4 with J1.5.22 and Virtuemart 1.16. Do we have anything for that?

Yes, incubator project CB VirtueMart is designed to offer synchronization to VM from CB at various CB triggers such as after login, registration, etc..
