CB_Conditional Tab was created by clickmo
Was posting in the incubator forum but I'm getting a server error there now so I'm re-posting here. This is a link to the original thread.

I'm using a tab conditional to return the users UserGroup. I am then comparing this value to display the tab using REGEX something like:

if...
field: UserType

is...
Operator: is REGEX

To...
Value: /Premium/

Then...
Mode: Show

For some reason the tab is always hidden. Any thoughts why?
UserType is a query field that returns usertype from jos_users. the query is:

select `usertype` from jos_users WHERE `id` = [user_id];

It does properly return the value.

Query field does not store to database, thus its values do not exist in user object. Currently CB Conditional checks field values in POST and in user object. It does not use CB fields API which is what is needed to obtain the value of your query field. I have made a note to implement a fix for this in next CB Conditional release. Currently what you're trying to do will not work.
