Edit and Connection Buttons Not Showing Up in IE

13 years 7 months ago #164088 by Hotties Wrestle
Edit and Connection Buttons Not Showing Up in IE was created by Hotties Wrestle
A user reported that they couldn't see the option to connect to other users at all on IE, and on Chrome, the connections button only shows up on their profile. I use Opera and Firefox all the time and never had a problem, but on IE 8, I see the connection, report user and messages buttons are missing.

Joomla version is 1.5.22
CB version is 1.4

Are you referring to the links on the CB Menu in profile or within CB Content? Please provide a screenshot of the issue if possible.

Here are 4 screenshots, 2 in Opera 10 showing my profile and someone else's, then 2 in IE8 showing my profile and the same other person.

Please PM backend login credentials and will take a look. Is very strange as it shouldn't just disappear. If the code responsible JS wise did not function then it'd show as a UL/LI list at the least.

Have reviewed your site and in IE Tester it is not showing, but in actual IE8 (IE9, but rendering with IE8 engine using dev tools) it is showing perfectly fine. I believe this is just a bug of the tester software and can not see a reason why it wouldn't display unless the page never finished loading (it's JS), which appears the case in IETester (page never finishes loading). Seams nothing to be worried about.
