Public VS Private Profiles

In the global configuration for CB there is a setting to "Allow Access To" which you can set to public or any one of the different user levels. Is there a way to set this person to person or by CB Subscription?

I have a user pool of sponsors, members, students. We want the sponsor profiles to be public while all other profiles are private or viewable only by registered users.

Is that an option or is it an all or nothing sort of function when it comes to profile security?

You could protect every field or every tab using CBSubs Fields Tabs Protection, but aside from that no.

Basically all or nothing at this point. CB 2.0 will be offering much more in this regard. You could also use CB Privacy to allow your users to select their own privacy. You could also use delimiter fields to actually display your fields and use IF statements to check who the user is and hide based off that.
