This is potential bug report. We had an incident last week where all of a group's files vanished. The folder was deleted along with the db records. Only for one group; all others were fine. We were able to restore the folder and records from a back-up, but have no idea how they could have been deleted.

Without a way to reproduce I've no way of knowing how to fix it. This can happen if the group has say 5 files and all 5 files belong to 1 user then that user leaves the group and you didn't configure the file integration to keep user data. If you are able to reproduce or find a cause please let me know.

you didn't configure the file integration to keep user data


I don't see a way to do this configuration. I see:
Paging
Page Limit
Search
Size
Types
Captcha

Please advise.

I see, you've not upgrade to GJ 2.4rc where this feature is present. Please upgrade to RC released to professional subscribers (your self) or wait for stable release of 2.4.

Is this feature a setting in 2.4? Or is it core?

Keeping of users content on leave is implemented with GJ 2.4 stable. If set the users content will remain even if they leave the group.
