I am experiencing a very similar, if not same, issue. Software details below.

1. Have two plans.

2. One of the two plans (Plan will see a few extra fields, the other plan (Plan A) will not see these few extra fields.

3. Have the Subscription tab published, so on the Step1 tab, you can see both plans, and the Subscription Tab in profile view.

4. Have Plan A "Hides fields at registration:" set to hide the fields not required for Plan A. (they still show)

5. The fields are on the very next step, Step2 where it collects contact info. (May be irrelevant)

Problem: Plan A and Plan B show the fields that should only be seen during registration for Plan B, though Plan A is set to Hide these extra Plan B fields at registration.

I have CB Conditional installed to control some fields, conditional upon others. But, also, I think that is irrelevant, maybe.

If you're using the Step by Step feature of CB Conditional then CBSubs field conditions will fail. This is a known issue I plan to address with a later release. This happens due to CB Conditional re-arranging the DOM and CBSubs uses Bind and not Live so once the DOM is re-arranged CBSubs will fail to find the fields.
