You mean when using CB Conditional to have step by step registration? If so, yes you can translate "Step 1" for example be either of the two below methods inside of your language plugins.
Main language define file:
DEFINE( '_REG_STEP1', 'This is step 1' );
Teamplugins language file:
'Step 1' => 'This is step 1',
