in an older thread I've read that the cb login module must be present on every page if I want to use cb connect. is it possible to set the module position as 'cb login', instead of eg 'left'?

create a menu item 'login'

The login module only needs to be present on pages you intend to use the APIs on. It no longer needs to be present on every single page as was required in the past, but you can only use the login buttons through the CB Login module which you can place in any module position you want.
