Hello,
I've been getting about a 20% failure rate using CBSubs- the Log Type displays: PDT notification not authenticating at payment gateway (paypal). I searched and found topic #2374 and it seemed to indicate a bug (and yes, I checked the settings).
I'm running CBSubs v1.1.2 which this problem seems to apply to.
I know I should update but the site is complex with a RT template, Kunena, Virtuemart, uddeIm and I've been hesitant since it all works.
Q: Was this a bug and if so, was it patched in the newer releases?

I'm running CBSubs v1.1.2 which this problem seems to apply to.

I highly recommend upgrading as each new release comes with quite a few bug fixes. You can see the change log below.

Q: Was this a bug and if so, was it patched in the newer releases?

PayPal IPNs appear to be working fine in all my tests in CBSubs 1.2.2

Please note IPNs can fail if your server can't be reached properly as well. This can happen if your host has an outage or downtime for example. PayPal typically retries sending an IPN though.
