Upload Profile Image - Does not show

I did read previous posts regarding problems for standard users uploading their profile images. Did go through the recommendation in all of them - but nothing worked.

Joomla version: 1.5.24
CB version : 1.7.1
PHP Version 5.2.17

In order to avoid having previous recommendations repeated:
- CB Config - Images:
- GD2 Library - detected, bundled
- Image - yes
- Image upload - yes
- CB Config - Moderation:
- Approve User by Moderator - no
- Approval for Images - no

Any image that is already in the Gallery can be loaded. However, own images are not uploaded to the site or displayed.

Any recommendation?

Please enable debug mode and maximum error reporting within Joomla global configuration. Once done please attempt to upload an image and observe any on-screen errors (not query log at bottom of page).

Done! No on-screen error message.

After
- choosing image
- clicking upload

the site jumps back to the initial upload page (see image below).

Strange, please PM backend super administrator login credentials and will take a look. Have you checked images/comprofiler/ folder to see if the image uploads at all?

Something is intercepting frontend POST. Backend upload appears to be working perfectly fine so does not appear to be a permissions issue. I could not confirm locally either so does not appear to be a bug. I've no idea the cause of this issue however; seams to be some sort of conflict from one of the installed 3rd party extensions.

Is there a way to determine with which component CB has this interference (some logging?!) without deinstalling/disabling all of them?
