Maybe a stupid question, but is it possible to test CB-Connect on a local test environment? Just did a quick twitter application setup and test etc. twitter developer center said: the homepage URL can be a placeholder... it can be added later... but is it technically required?

Is there any way to test social login connections on a local test installation?

That depends, for me yes as my localhost is accessible via the web through my IP Address. If you can do the same then yes otherwise no as most of the connect sites do not allow localhost.

"WebSite" can be whatever you like for the time being as it's not relevant to the functionality of Twitter connect however "Callback URL" must be completely accurate as well as your domain properly added to @Anywhere domains (excluding Callback URL domain as is auto added/assumed).
