[SOLVED] Default Profile Images was created by scottie33t
Hi, where do we go to change the default profile images in the image gallery? I would like to change a few of them.

Hi Scottie!

I had some difficulties finding the optional avatar-images my self :)

Well, they're found in folder: www/images/comprofiler/gallery. NOT under /components/com_comprofiler/.

Delete and add pictures as you wish and they'll pop-up/disappear in front end.

If you like to change the default member-picture, i.e. the illustration of a blue, faceless man, you just insert a picture using the same file-name in folder components/com_comprofiler/plugin/templates/default/images/avatar/

Hope you understand what I've written- Doing this at work so I had to be fast ;)

Take care and good luck!

@Madan: Thanks for stepping in and helping out.

I believe this is documented in the CB API document (in the Free download area).

Thanks Madan and Nant, uploading the photos was successful, however I noticed that even though the photos are visible to be chosen on the front end, when a user selects one of these new photos, the system instead of confirming it provides a "You didn't choose an image from the gallery." error message.

I was able to fix it by renaming the photos to the default image filenames (i.e. ball.gif, butterfly.jif...), however I would prefer not to use the original image names as these avatar images are not balls or butterflys for example and the alt image tags seems to use these names as well. Is there a way to fix this or a file I need to go to to update the system to recoginize the new image filenames?

Sorry I'm somewhat of a novice, so sorry if this seems like a basic question.

You should be able to just drop your new gallery images directly into the folder. Please ensure none of your photos include spaces or invalid characters (use only alphanumeric).
