CB Blogs Categories Not Showing was created by a2zcs
I'm using Joomla 1.7.3, CB 1.7.1 and CB Blogs 2.3.0

Just installed CB Blogs, went to add categories and they entered OK in the configuration (Blogs/Internal tab), but they are not showing up on the drop down list under (Blogs/Default Tab) nor in the "Create Blog" form and thus not allowing the blog to save since no category is specified.

Any thoughts?
Thanks

Figured it out. I'm new to Joomla so I didn't realize that you had to setup the categories in Joomla before using them in CB.

I just wanted to add. (When using Joomla 3

That under the CMS tag when you are configuring your CB Blog the section you select will be the joomla category you want your blog to fall under. It does not look like Joomla 3 has sections anymore so once you pick the joomla category you want to use under the section option in CB blog you then have to add all other joomla categories you want to use in your blog as subcategories to the category you selected in the CB Blog section.

Example: I wanted the Joomla category "Blogs" to be the category all other blog categories fell under. So Then I went to my Joomla Categories and created 4 other Joomla categories as sub categories for my "Blogs" category.

I am new to leaving feedback so I hope what I wrote was clear enough.

That's the correct usage, but please do not post in year old topics and instead create your own and provide a link to this one if needed.
