Hello,

these are two line in my German language file, to translate the subject and the message for an EMail notification:

'[group_name] - Wall Post Deleted!' => '[group_name] - Pinnwandeintrag gelöscht!',
'[user] deleted #[wall_id] in [group]!' => '[user] löscht Pinnwandeintrag #[wall_id] in Gruppe [group]!',

And this is the result :
Subject ; Bratbecker - Pinnwandeintrag gelöscht!
Message : Thomas löscht Pinnwandeintrag #161 in Gruppe Bratbecker!

The ö string is transformed in the message but not in the subject of the EMail.

Don't htmlspecialchars a string. It'll end up double htmlspecialchars on the subject (security) and result in it not translating it its actual character. Just supply Ö in the language string.
