Yes.

Have I always to uninstall CB-Plugins before upgrading ?

No, this is a 1 time thing only if you had GroupJive 1.8 CB plugin installed prior to installing GroupJive 2.x. You'll lose your GJ configuration on uninstall (you won't lose categories, groups, etc..) however.
