Hello,

I tried searching through the forums but could not find anything.

How do you turn off the javascript alerts in registration? I am getting JS alerts and HTML messages on the page. It is not useful for us to have both.

These alerts I refer to are the messages the user gets when not filling in the registration form correctly.

I am using CB 1.8 on Joomla 2.5.

Thanks!
Darren

You shouldn't get JS alerts. You should have inline errors below the inputs. The only thing that'll have a JS alert is CB Captcha.

I wish that was the case, but I am getting the js alert popups for all items in the registration.

Attached are screenshots of registration when I do not check the terms/conditions.
The 2nd screenshot is of the html notification.

You can see I am getting both.

Any thoughts on this?

Does this happen with any of the other fields? For example don't fill anything out and immediately click Register. Please PM backend super administrator login credentials and will take a look. This shouldn't be happening on CB 1.8 as it has a jQuery deep noConflict as this typically was caused by a jQuery conflict.

It's a problem with your template. It's missing the header tag so Joomla headers added by API are never added. This means CBs CSS, JS, jQuery, etc.. is never added. I'm surprised CB even functions normally at all. Switching to default Joomla template resolves the issue. Please contact your templates developer for further support.

I have the same problem. Other inline errors are shown below the inputs. But if email is already registered, both JS alert and error message are shown on top of the form.
Please see the attachments below.
I tested it by using Joomla default template on CB 1.9 on Joomla 3.1.5.

May I know how should I disable JS error alert?
Thank.
