Different welcome messages depending on group was created by JosB

Is it possible to sent different welcome messages depending on the group a user belongs to?

I've got two types of users, the first get the standard welcome messages (the register themselfes on the site), but for the second type i want other welcome messages (these users are manually entered in the system).

Nope not from CB > Configuration > Registration. You'd need to use CB Auto Actions with an Email action to do that. As you're wanting a different email based off where you created them you'd just use the frontend trigger for 1 and the backend trigger for the other.
