[SOLVED] error uploading image/avatar w Joomla set to ftp

12 years 6 months ago - 12 years 6 months ago #198396 by jacobsandin
Hi,

With Joomla set to FTP as I have to get right permissions on uploaded files, CB do not seem to use this setting.

I get the following error...
Miniatyr : Error occurred during the moving of the uploaded file. Method: Move

And when I check the database...
I get
Avatars and thumbnails folder: ..../images/comprofiler/ is NOT writeable by the webserver.

Is there a way to get CB to also utilize FTP?

CB only uses FTP settings on backend (install of plugins, etc..). It'd be a security vulnerability to use it on frontend. You should be able to fix the permissions of the images/comprofiler/ folder via FTP to make it writeable then images uploaded to it would inherit permissions.
