Is there a method to verify login without redirect was created by sfraise

I got a mockup this morning calling for some client side stuff to happen on incorrect username or password instead of going to another screen.

Is there anything in the api or anything that I can use via ajax to check if login success or fail before redirecting?

There's a couple triggers you can use, please see the below tutorial regarding trigger usage.

Specifically in the tutorial review the "cb.authentication.php" block, which contains all login/logout triggers.
