So, for example, my old drop down will transform automatically to ajax-editable, with this?
I've enabled the plugin, enabled "Profile View", but nothing changes.

Edit your old drop-down field and enable the new parameters to the right.

But I can't edit the field in the front-end, there is no "button" to edit it.

when you scroll over the field you should see a pencil icon. Click you mouse when you see this to edit field

Nothing, I haven't the pencil.
I've also tried clicking where the pencil should be, but nothing happens.
What can be this due to? Thank you.

Please edit your fields within CB > Field Management and enable the AJAX. By default it is disabled to avoid having instantly all fields AJAX.
