Date field : Maximum Year shown

Hello,

I set a date field on "Maximum Year shown"= +18 because I want that members on a site can only subscribe if he is really more than 18 years old.
But if try to subscribe on the site and I give 1995/05/07 (17 years old for today) and I can subscribe !
So my conclusion is that only the year is consider to check if I am 18 years old or not. Is it the case and if it is is there a way to change the setting to consider the moment of the year to chack this Maximum Year shown ?

You don't have to use + or -. You can actually just specify a minimum or maximum year. For example you can set the maximum year to 1994. 1995 shouldn't even be shown in the drop-down select. Have you tried using +19 instead or +17?

My aim is that someone who is more than 18 years old can subscribe to this site (even if it is 18 years and one day). I will try with only 18 but my real question is do you check only the year or also the differnce between the date of the inscriptino day and the date put inside the regiter form ?

PS: When I read your answer, I wonder if the french translation is really exact for the tooltips

For what you're wanting you'll need to use +17, CB adds +1 to the maximum year to circumvent an older bug. It only validates the year, it doesn't check the day and month for the range.

Hmm may be I have not understand but if I use +17 cb propose date until 2030, it's not really what I want
