backbutton in https-mode

12 years 4 months ago #201691 by pjfroelofs
backbutton in https-mode was created by pjfroelofs
We are building a network website, and enabled the "use https (encrypted) for login and after login" in the CB-login module.

This works perfect: after login the site is secure!

But there is one strange thing when browsing the member profiles.
The backbutton (to go to the previous webpage) generates this error message: 'page no longer available'

All the other pages of the website work perfect, but the profile pages are not!

Please advice,
Patrick Roelofs

Does it always do this regardless of what page you came from to reach a profile? Anything abnormal about the URL? Is SEF enabled? If so have you tried with it disabled? Joomla version? CB version?

It only happens when coming from www.allwomenconnect.com/index.php?option=com_cbcoresearch&view=cbcoresearch&Itemid=40

(you can login with user test ,paswd: testtest)

Anything abnormal about the URL?
this cbcoresearch does not change the URL after info is entered in the fields.

Is SEF enabled? no

If so have you tried with it disabled? Joomla version? CB version? J1.5, CB1.8

Then the problem is CB Core Search, it's probably throwing away the URL after usage. You need to contact the developers of CB Core Search for further support.

This is the 3th party builder:
www.joomlapolis.com/cb-solutions/directory/search-a-indexing/cb-core-search-community-builder-advanced-search-component-and-module

And they do not respond to any of my questions.
Is there a way you can contact them?

You can try using "Contact Owner" or seeing if a web/email address is in the plugins XML file. As it's commercial you can try contacting their PayPal address directly as well.
