Assigning users to ACL gorups

Hello all,

As I understand, I can automatically assign new users to specific ACL groups based on a populated field during registration.

My question is, what if a user goes back to his profile later on and changes the value of that field, will he automatically be transferred to another group? If yes, can I prevent that?

Yes using CB Auto Actions. See tutorials for example.
