use substitution in language file? was created by userpic36
I am trying to modify a text constant in the default language file.
I want to insert, in the defined text , a CB substitution like [NAME] or [USER_ID]

But the substitution is not applied. The final text displays "[NAME]" instead of the actual name of the current user.

Is it possible to use CB substitutions in the language file for all defined constants?

Regards,
JF

Substitutions only work if the location that's rendering the language string allows them. In most cases this is going to do nothing. Only a few plugins such as GJ or incubator projects pass language strings through substitution parser; most do not.
