Why is it sitting just underneath the profile picture?
When clicked on, it says "This user currently doesn't have any posts". Where do the posts come from? Is it a redundant function of something else that's already installed and displayed on the CB tabs? In any case, how do I adjust it's parameters (e.g. move it or uninstall it)?

No idea, I suppose you moved it there. It's suppose to be in the Main position by default with all the other tabs.

The user needs to view their own profile and add posts depending on the type. Blog and Wall lets them post on themselves. Guestbook only lets other users posts. It's not a part of CBs core and can be uninstalled, you had to of installed it for it to even exist. You can uninstall it from CB > Plugin Management.
