12 years 3 months ago #205143 by zaratustra27
Hi, I wanted to use CB Conditional field plugin with ZT Xenia from ZooTemplate but unfortunately, ZT Tools and CB plugin hava a conflict that disables the last one. I disabled ZT plugin and changed template by now but I wonder if there were a way to make both to work together.

I'm using Joomla 2.5.4, CB 1.8.1, conditional plugin 1.8.0, ZT Tools 2.5.0, and the other settings are as follows:

Setting Value

What's conflicting about them? Any PHP errors? jQuery conflicts? CB 1.8.1 uses a very deep noConflict so CB will always continue to work as it puts its version of jQuery in a completely different namespace. Perhaps ZT Tools isn't use a noConflict state?

Conditional fields are not working at all, there are no PHP errors so I guess it's jQuery.

Where are they not working? What fieldtypes? There was a bug with radio/checkboxes, but is fixed in now release CB Conditional 1.8.1. Please review browser error console when trying to use a condition to see if any fatal JS errors occur. If you've a template that has JS/CSS compression/merging then disable the compress/merging as it tends to break JS/CSS.

The first field is a radio button that enables a select list and then the select list enables a second select depending of my choice in the previous one.

The ZT plugin that comes with my template compress the page but it has no control whether to enable this feature or not, the only solution is to disable the plugin but it affects the template. I'll consult ZT about it. Thank you

Radios and checkboxes are bugged in CB Conditional 1.8. Please upgrade to CB Conditional 1.8.1 and see if issue persists. Aside from that no idea what specifically is conflicting. If there was a conflict you should see it in your browser error console.
