Forgot login + separate start page

Hello,

i use Joomla 2.5 with CB registration and a separate startpage (index.htm).
In the root directory I have the file ". htaccess' that contains the following line" DirectoryIndex index.htm ". On the page "index.htm" is a link to "index.php" (after agreement yes/no).

This all works fine.

Now i noticed, that there is a problem with the function "Forgot login?".
If a member use this function, then he can fill out all fields correctly and after pressing "Send Password" he see the first startpage "index.htm" again.
The password was not sent.

So the user has no chance to resent a new password.

Any idea to fix this problem?

Thanx!

Joerg.

Many forms post directly to index.php. You can't have an intro like that for Joomla, it just won't work for numerous extensions. If you need an intro you may want to review various intro extensions. Alternative is to move Joomla to a subfolder and have an index at your root. Example as follows

/root/index.html (link sends to /joomla)
/root/joomla/
