Online School

Looking for some advice?

I'm creating an online school, demo's up at: www.school.mygroupstash.com
It's all working really well except I need a good way for students to send assignments (text, doc, video, image) to the teacher so only the student and the teacher see the assignment content.
Preferably I'd like to do it via GroupJive but so that only the Group Owner and the User posting gets to see the content. There needs to be an online record of the content submitted so I'd like to avoid straight e-mailing it.

Any suggestions?

Your site looks really good and I am sure it would only go better!
I have been tinkering with groupjive myself and I think it would be a good solution for letting students share particular files with their teacher as it also allows private groups. One thing why are you still using Kunena 1.7? I think with 2.0 in stable version it would a good choice to go with it.

Hi, there is a very established platform for your needs but it is not joomla based. Called Moodle. The nice part is it's free and very powerful in features. Only thing is it takes some time to familiarise. Check it out moodle.org. Hope it helps.

Yea, I don't think Moodle has close to the function I'm putting together on my site. But I like that you can install Moodle on your own server.
Canvas is the new one, it's a lot better than Moodle or Blackboard, but it's cloud based which is too risky in my opinion. A school needs to own it's own database.
So I am building a feature rich Joomla tool.
