When I try to edit a user's info using the CB User Manager I get an alert that says "Not Authorized", and my edits do not save.

Currently the only way I can edit users in through the core Joomla User Manager, which works fine.

I found another thread that might be related: Not Authorized error if params field missing

I have the params field published on a shown tab (Profile Picture tab) and set to show on profile (even though there is nothing to show, right?)

I am using a Super Admin account.

CB 1.8.1
Joomla 2.5.6
CB Subs 2.0.2

When editing a user can you see the usergroups parameter? If this field isn't visible it will cause problems.

When I edit a user in CB User Manager, I see all the params fields in their Profile Picture tab (where the params field is published). This tab also includes my 'avatar' field and my cbsubs badge planimage field.

Fields shown for this tab in user edit (backend) are:
Profile Image
Frontend Language
Editor
Time Zone
Group
Block User
Approve User
Confirm User
Receive Moderator Emails
Register Date
Last Visit Date

None are depicted as Required fields.

All 3 fields below must be present in the POST or you'll get the generic not authorized error.

Username
Approved (included with User Params)
Confirmed (included with User Params)

Out of the above you're missing Username. This is because you moved it to the Forum tab, which isn't published. I've moved it to the Account tab (feel free to move it elsewhere) and confirmed User Management works fine again. Please also confirm it works fine for you now.
