How do I embed JCE editor into a text area field?

I have a field "Editor Text Area". It has implemented OK, and I can edit the contents under "My Profile". The only problem is, there are no rich text controls, ie. it is just an empty box for plain text. How do I get the editor to appear in it?

There is a editor field type that you can use to create a new editor field which will automatically use the Joomla default editor.

I could not see the editor in the from end because of JCE rights. I have used TinyMCE now for the front end users, as it is simpler, and it comes up just fine. Saves me configuring JCE.
