[#3636] Groupjive 2.5.3 RC1 Invite and "Tools" Problem

Dear Team,

on our J2.5.6 CB 1.8.1 GJ 2.5.3 I do encounter the following issues that only occured after upgrading to 2.5.3RC1 of GJ.

1.) Invites to groups do not work, I receive the error:
Einladung konnte nicht versendet werden! Fehler: 2012-08-07 17:41:37
Invite can not be send! Error 2012-08-07 17:41:37
Note that all options are selected in the config options (name, username etc.). It worked before the update...

2.) Running the Tools of GJ returns the following error, that is not being fixed by running tools:
:: User :: Group missing - 435, 432, 431, 430, 429, 425, 424, 423, 420, 419, 418, 417, 416, 415, 414, 413, 412, 411, 409, 408, 406, 405, 404, 403, 402, 401, 399, 398

Note that if I click on the ID it shows on all these IDs a group with a totally different ID. Furthermore we only have a total of 9 groups on our site...

3.) Another strange behaviour is, that if I open a group and save it, it is first unpublished (even though it was published before). I have to publish it again.

4.) In one group if a user posts a wall entry I need to approve the post as Mod, even though this is disabled in the group configuration.

Any idea?

Good find, found the issue and is fixed for stable release.

This happens when a database row exists in _groupjive_users, but the "group" column is empty. You need to edit the user (click the ID) and select a group (should auto select first in list) then click Save. Alternatively just delete them as they don't exist in any group.

That's a known fixed bug for stable. See below bug ticket.

Hi

I too have the same couple of issues

Any idea on a timeframe for the stable release update please as I see
Status: Resolved
Bug #3636 - % Done: 100%

Although 2.5.3 is only 10% finished

It's all fixed in 2.5.3rc2, please upgrade.
