Dear CB,

Here I need to edit the layout of quick message tab.
I attach a picture.
1. how to edit the css to close the gap between subject and textfield.
2. how to edit the css to change the textfield to white background and text to black.
3. hot to add module suffix to the quick message?

NB: I have firebug installed, but have difficulty locating the folders, file, and line to edit.

Use Firebug for Firefox to inspect the Quick Message tab and review its elements for its Classes and IDs so you can style it. If on Chrome just press F12 and inspect.

You can't, it's not a module.

Yes, I am able to find its classes and id through firebug, But i do not know how to save the changes I have made through firebug ( I learnt that we cannot save changes thru firebug), and I do not know which folders and files and line is it on..

It's best to place the CSS at the bottom of your Joomla template CSS file as it's least likely to change often. Alternative is to add to bottom of CB template CSS file. Joomla template should be in templates/TEMPLATE/. See documentation for CB template path or search as has been provided numerous times.
