[SOLVED] CB Blogs 3.0.5 was created by zapatista
Hi all,

in the backend I cannot select any categories which is needed to create a blog. Where is the problem? I still use Joomla 1.5.26 an CB 1.8.
Thanks.

Christian

You need to, in Joomla Content, create a Section then create Categories under that Section. Once done navigate to CB Blogs > Config > CMS and select your Section. Now create a blog and you should be able to select categories just fine.

Ok thanks, suddenly it works.

I created a section in Joomla before but it wasn't displayed in CB Blogs.

By the way, do you know where I could find some instructional comments to upgrade from CB 1.8 to 1.8.1? That would be very nice.

Just install CB 1.8.1 and it'll auto-upgrade it self.

it doesn't autopopulate previously created categories. ie, if there were existing categories before installing the CB Blogs component, those catgories are not listed.

Is there a way to trigger them to be populated?

Auto populate what? Don't understand the issue. You configure the section and categories within Joomlas content extension. You then just select the section within CB Blogs, that's it.
