Probably, but we don't provide such a capability. Joomla contacts are also unique by name. However, Joomla and CB are not unique by name. So you'd end up with duplicates or flat out failed registrations if you kept synchronizing them. There is of course "User - Contact Creator", which comes with J2.5 that creates a contact for a user after registration however you'll run into the issue mentioned previously.
