Hi,

Joomla 1.5.26
Cb1.8.1



Until recently most of my site members had already registered through CB, however I just had one new member try to register.

Upon submitting registration, it redirects him to the login screen.

(An existing member can login,but new users cannot register).

Also no mails are sent out. The site mail system works as i just tested it to make sure with a mail list component..

Using CB_Login I can see in the back end end a new user is not created upon registration.

However if i use the Joomla login module, the user is created, however he receives no emails and i cannot confirm or approve him in the back end..


Rather confusing.

Debug is on and no errors.

Ive reinstalled CB1.8.1 and no change.

Checked permissions with Joomla system info and directories are writable.

Any ideas?

PS. I'm not sure when this issue actually started as this is the first new member registration in a while..

EDIT: I can create a user in the back end and login this user through the front end once registered... but still cannot register through the front end.

Sounds like missing public and published Joomla menu link to CB profiles. This link is mandatory and it needs to be public. It can be hidden on a menutype that has an unpublished module however if you don't want it actually visible. This sometimes can also happen from 3rd party SEF extensions, try disabling SEF if the public menu item does not work.

spot on!

Was an issue with ACESEF. disabled it and working now.

Seams to be an ongoing issue with that SEF extension. Believe sh404sef should work fine, but note we still only support Joomla SEF; if a 3rd party SEF extension has issues it must be handled by them.
