sorry, I use CB 1.8.1
And I try with a non admin cb member.

OK.
IN fact we import members from a csv file. And password recovery doesn't work with them, but it works with a regular member registered through the CB registration form.

So I guess we are not filling all the fields of CB tables during our IMPORT CSV process.

Based off the error reported and that they're imported it sounds as if you're not importing them with a name. Name, username, and email are all absolutely required.
