I assume that I will need to prep for CSS modifications that I have made on the current version, being adapted to the update. However what else should I expect to have to address?

EDIT: in the quickstart pro, page 8 of the doc, it says:

You should note that in addition to the ‘Community Builder’ and ‘GroupJive’ drop-down
menus a third ‘Paid Subscriptions’ menu will appear if you have installed the CBSubs –
Paid Subscriptions Membership Management solution from Joomlapolis.
If you are installing CB Quickstart PRO on a clean (no content)Joomla 2.5/3.0
environment you should see your website frontpage similar to Figure 3.

Nothing mentioned on what will be required on an update install.

Yes, you'll need to backup any CSS changes you've made.

It'll just update the plugins that are included in the package. You'll need to see each plugins forge for specifics as to what was changed in them. I suggest making a backup before updating anything however.

Ok, I did do a backup and ran the update. I already took care of the CSS changes, and I see the fix you put in place for another thread we were talking on. My main concern really was weather or not I would have to reconfigure anything on the plugin side of things. I remember back in the old day, if you updated CB alone, you would have to reconfigure the plugins in some way. This was like Joomla 1.5, early CB days.

CB and its plugins can be installed over themselves and they'll auto update. No uninstall required before reinstall, which was needed way back in Joomla 1.x days.
