I have browsed google and this forum for a way of showing the CB login module when a session times out in Joomla. Currently takes a user to core login page. All I can seem to find is redirects after login.
CB Core Redirect (free downloads section) will send users from Joomla user pages to CB user pages. This should solve the issue of it showing Joomlas login page instead of CBs when the user expires.
