[SOLVED] Access list Menu Viewing was created by cberry1971
I have people register to my site and they (thru Auto Actions) are categorized as:

Affiliates or Athletes

I have Access Lists for Affiliates and Athletes and have set the "Affiliates" menu item to show on the Main Menu... However I can't seem to get it to activate. When I log in (as a admin or test affiliate) I get no Affiliate menu showing.

Any advice is great.

Screenshot 2: Access Lists
Screenshot 3: User List

What am I missing??

OK I figured a piece of the puzzle.. but don't know how to make it all come together.

When I turned Cache Settings => ON/Conservative Caching, the menu items (with Affiliate AL) would not show or if logged in and showing.. not disappear when I would log out.

Is there a way to fix this without turning off Global Caching?

I have caching set to off in the main and affiliate menus.

Your cache is working exactly as it's designed. It caches a page then loads the cache back in, if not expired, when called again. Your user will need to wait for the cache to reset or you need to reduce the cache duration to something like 5-10 minutes. Caching on dynamic content sites typically won't be very helpful as you'll end up with constantly out of date data. Caching is helpful for static sites, blogs, etc..

Thorough and thoughtful answer thanks.

Is there any trick to this issue? My gtmetrix grade is awful without caching turned on.

Things are way too slow.

All of CB has internal caching on page load to avoid duplicate calls, but I can't speak for other extensions. I suppose your best bet is to have caching with short duration or look into a 3rd party cache extension that can give you better control of caching on extension by extension basis. For example caching is hugely beneficial to Joomla content articles, but it's damaging to Forums and extensions like CB as it results in out of date data.
