User "Comments" choices was created by YeeP
I have setup the profilebook for this purpose, and it looks like the profile wall can do the same thing, with less options. I would like to take away the users ability to remove (delete) additions to their profile book. If this is not possible, is there another plugin that can do this?

The only way to remove the delete feature is to edit the plugin as there is no parameter to disable it. If you're just wanting commenting on profile I believe there's a few extensions at Joomla.org in the extension directory that provide such a thing, but the Wall tab should be sufficient.

It definitely is sufficient, as it does everything I want. It just doesn't provide a way for the delete option for the user to be removed. The reason being, if your users are "ranking" people with their star choices, and leaving comments, why should we allow the user to remove those? That would be like an ebay user being able to remove the negative statements about previous business transactions. The specific site this is going on, does perform a type of transaction between users and this would be a perfect option to point them toward when the transaction is complete. I will see what it takes to remove this from the code as a test.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

EDIT: I did find "JComments" which can work, except it does not have the "ranking" option.... I will still try to go the code option here.

You could use the Wall for posts then have rating field using Rating Fieldtype plugin for them to rate the user.

Great idea. I set it up and have one problem. Here is the setup:

Then I see this on the profile wall:

Why are there so many stars there?

Also, the actual profile portrait looks to have the "average" rating, so I don't really need that "My Rating" piece.

Thoughts?

Thank you for the help.

Edit your rating field and adjust the number of stars as needed. I think the default is 5 or 6. I've no idea why yours displays so many, try right clicking and inspecting with Chrome or Firebug for Firefox to see if that many stars actually exist or if it's just a CSS bug in Bootstrap. Rating fields always display the average, works the same as ProfileBook rating basically, but it's not tied to ProfileBook.
