Does Kyle answer "Change th HTML" means that we can't use template override for mod_cblogin ?

As I see, icons are hard coded for example so to change them only solution is change the code or override if it works.

I doubt module template overrides will work, because we don't use View. You need to edit the module directly to change its HTML, but really you shouldn't have to as most design changes can be done strictly with CSS. The icons can be found below and you can change them to whatever you like (maintaining filename and extensions) or override them with CSS.

Thanks for the update Kyle.

I know we can change whatever we want in the core module and that's easy.

The topic is also that nowadays, most templates (from templaters or custom) use bootstrap or another framework. Not having override possibility goes to have more work to do and problems when updating to new version.

Plus, I saw a topic answered by Beat 4 years ago saying the next version of the module will deploy module override. Since now the job is not done :(

It may support overrides, I never tried. If it doesn't then we haven't implemented it yet. Module will either be completely rewritten or gone with CB 2.0 (allowing usage of any Joomla login module, fingers crossed) though so we'll definitely be improving this. We're aware of template overrides and will be working to implement them for CB 2.0 (believe we already implemented them for CBSubs if I recall correctly).

fingers crossed, too :cheer:

no override does actually not work on v1.9
It would be really helpful to have the fully implemented MVC model for using own defined button classes and so on and to not separately have to document it...
I´d also vote for it if wanted and/or possible.

cheers, PCo.
