Just wanted to update a CB quickstart 1.2 install with some newer files with a package (packager). I just get the following message, and all included files are listed in column "failed".

"Failed to uninstall self. Please uninstall manually."



(Joomla 2.5 latest, CB Quickstart 1.2)

Thanks for the info!
But still the same issues:

- J! message "Installing component was successful."
- "Failed to uninstall self. Please uninstall manually."
- all CB items are lsietd under "failed"


What does the message mean? What item can´t un-install. Where do i find it, to remove it manually?

Click the show link next to Log at the bottom then copy and paste the contents here so we can see why it failed. Sounds like a permissions issue is prevent installs though. Try installing one of the CB plugins included in the package normally through CB > Plugin Management.

I checked the installed version numbers of some items, they all seem updated. At least the Version numbers are all "latest". ?!? But the message is still the same and the log looks like this:

Also tried some single installs. Works all fine. I remember, I had no packager or quickstart problems on this installation. First noticed it after/with QS1.2

Looks like no error was reported, which typically means it failed due to permissions. It stores all the extensions in administrator/components/com_packageinstaller/extensions/ which if the administrator or administrator components folder doesn't have correct permissions it won't be able to unpack at that same location and install 1 by 1.
