Is there any easy way to check for plugin updates in cb? I just spent two hours tracking down a php error in cb that prevented me from editing user profiles in the backend. It would be nice to easily see at a glance if plugins are up to date like joomla core, cb core, etc.

No, unfortunately. It's a planned feature for CB 2.0. For now you need to click the plugins 1 by 1 to check if the version is output in the description or if it has a backend display like GJ where version is easily displayed.

You can build a package with all the plugins you've installed with our package builder found below to grab all the latest releases in a single install.
