Thumbnail resizing on image upload was created by basidee
Hi. I am using CB 1.8.1 with Joomla 2.5.8

I find that profile image thumbnails are no longer resized at upload. The images are showing as normal size in member lists and login module. What am I missing?

I have a similar problem with the same setup where the avatar on your profile page is 'sometimes' not re-sized.

What did you change before it stopped working? CB simply does not time bomb. Something has changed to result in this. We have not touched the resizing for quite some time so most likely the resize width and height was changed either in CB configuration or on the avatar field it self. It could also be something messing with CB configuration global causing the parameters to fail. Please upgrade to CB 1.9 and confirm if issue persists.

Just upgraded to 1.9. The thumbnail parameters in config are still 150x150. I tested and it is still not resizing.

I suspect it might be a script conflict, but I really can't put a finger on which one. I have made a few changes over the last 2 weeks before I realized this, so it is difficult to identify the culprit.

Any idea what kinds of extensions I should be looking for in troubleshooting or how I might go about fixing this?

My best guess is something that affects registration or profile update. This could be Joomla plugin or CB plugin doing it as Joomla user triggers are fired after the Joomla user is stored then CB kicks in and fires its triggers.

Maybe check to see if you've a CB Auto Action perhaps triggering after registration or profile update and disable it then try again as well as review any 3rd party Joomla user plugins which could act on Joomla user store.

It could also be something 3rd party changing the CB configuration globally and adjusting the resize limits, but doubtful of this.

Also note the avatar field in CB > Field Management also has resize parameters. If they are not blank then it'll use those over CB > Configuration > Images.
