Hi,

trying to set up a multi language site for testing purpose,
I receive contanstly errors on cb login saying:

"This webpage has a redirect loop
The webpage at http://localhost/tb-neu/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/en has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this webpage later.
Learn more about this problem.
Error 310 (net::ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS): There were too many redirects."

language plugin is activated, joomla login is disabled as required from cb configuration.

Installed latest J3.0.2, CB 1.9, php 5.3.8

Any ideas why?

Does Joomla login module work fine? It looks like the language plugin is causing an infinite redirect loop for whatever reason.

Hi Krileon,

thanks for your reply.
Tried out and switched to regular joomla login, still same problem.

Seems to be a general problem. Have to figure out.
I will reply if I find a solution or at least can find the problem.

Any help still welcome :)

Regards
Oliver

Seams like .htaccess issue, but could just be a bug in the language filter plugin. Below is a Joomla forum topic on the issue.

Below is another topic with similar issue and possible solution.

Thanks krileon,

that links really saved my nerves and days ;)

It´s an error that should be fixed in further releases of J3.0 I hope.

Solution:

Als described in the second link the content language in administration ALL have to be set to "public" instead of "guest" level. I'm not that familar with the core codes, but that caused the error. Once changed, I can see all flags and switch between languages for all items.

Great.
