Username, Name, and Email fields are all stored to _users and not specific to CB though so those fields should work fine regardless of them having a CB integration or not. So sounds like some sort of bug in the extension. Sorry their support isn't helping you, but we didn't develop the extension so I've no idea how it's coded or supposed to work. I suppose if they don't respond you can try hiring a contract web developer to take a look at sites like Joomlancers or eLance.
