Hi
I've read through numerous posts on various forums about getting CB and K2 working well together, particularly the problems surrounding the registration/user modules.

Posts from a year or two ago suggested people are working to get everything running smoothly between CB & K2 but I can't find any information to suggest this is the case yet? Recent posts here and elsewhere suggest it can still be problematic.

I have a J! 2.5.8 site with all the current CB and GJive addons in place and was wondering about installing K2. My main questions are:

1) Is adding K2 a relatively painless process, or are the login/group problems still a big issue?

2) Any other things to watch out for with everything running together?

3) What if it was a site with the new CBSubs as well, does that add further complication?

Any thoughts anyone?

Once K2 is installed you set it to integrate with CB. This will make all relevant links go to CB instead of K2. Meaning registration, profile, avatars, etc.. Now you'll need to install CB Articles and it'll display their K2 articles on their profile.

CBSubs doesn't integrate with K2 the same as it does with Joomla articles so you'll need to use By URL Part protection to protect the URL to K2 categories or articles.

Thanks.

Would you say any problems between CB & K2 login modules that I've read about in forums from the last year or two to do with registration/login/assigning K2 groups are all now in the past?

I'm not aware of any registration or login issues. You'll need to use CB login and registration of course, but shouldn't have any problems. If you need to add K2 groups to a user you can do that with CB Auto Actions.
