I've no idea, try setting the section and its categories to Public and see if it works. CB works with custom ACL. The category list API in the K2 model uses strictly Joomla API as well as the list can't be built properly with just database queries.

Have reviewed your install. It's not showing because you don't have any categories under your section category. I've changed your section to "Blog" and added a "General" category under it. It works fine. You add K2 categories to Components > K2 > Categories.

Oh! Now I understand it. Ididn't think that I had to create sub-cat to let it work. So that means that I cannot let users create blogs directly into main cat. Right?

So that means that I cannot let users create blogs directly into main cat. Right?

Correct, since J1.6 "Sections" don't exist anymore. So it uses a top-level category as its section. Any categories in that top level category are allowed to be selected to place blogs in.
