Hi,

I have problems with the Kunena Forum in IE8. You can't put the mouse into the textarea so it is impossible to write any posts.

Kunena: 2.0.4
Joomla: 2.5.9
CB: 1.9
Plugin; Kunena - Community Builder Integration: 2.0.4

I have realized that it is the plugin that integrates CB with Kunena that is causing the problem.

Any suggestions on how to solve this?

----

I think I solved it. There is also a plugin "Forum Integration" for CB that seems to take care of the integration between Kunena and CB. So I unpublished the "Kunena - Community Builder Integration" and now it is working in IE8.

Not heard of such an issue. Disabling Kunenas CB plugin will cause our Forum integration to do absolutely nothing as the triggers it acts on won't be fired. It's the same as using the "Basic" mode in Forum integration. It will still display forum posts though.

What do you mean you can't put the mouse into the textarea? What happens when you click it? Type? Perhaps it's just a font color issue and you can't see the cursor or what you're typing?

But it works with the Kunena CB plugin disabled. (?) The tabs in CB show your forum posts, your subscriptions and your favorites.

I meant it is not possible to place the cursor in the writing area at all, when the Kunena CB plugin is enabled.

If you enable the compatibility view in IE8 (and the Kunena CB plugin is enabled), then the cursor is changed to a "move" and after double clicking a few times it is possible to write. (But it will be too much of a procedure for the visitors, I think..)

It is not a font color issue.

Re-enable the Kunane CB plugin then disable non-core CB plugins 1 by 1 until resolved as it could be a conflict coming from a CB plugin. Am not able to duplicate locally. I suggest posting your issue to Kunena forums as it could be a bug of some sort.
